This role will be based out of Sheffield/Manchestor/Liverpool, UK region.
Lead supplier performance leader is responsible to ensure execution of all the inspections as per ITP, detailed documentation review & release of the product as per project specific requirements for GE Subsea systems
The purpose of the role is to lead the inspection program at multiple vendors & occasionally lead and manage team of third party inspectors.

  • Manage wing to wing quality activity within a defined vendor range, from contract review right through to final product release and final documentation approval and sign-off keeping in mind three pillars of inspection management – Safety, Surveillance and Schedule.

  • No direct report but responsibility to lead and manage team of third party inspectors in terms of priority of task, training and on-boarding of new inspectors and reporting of day-to-day activity at the supplier.

  • Ensure seamless execution of inspection test plan and documentation review process according to Inspction procedures and also manage punch list items.

  • Represent and lead vendor inspection team in project/supplier kick-off meetings and inspection kick-off meetings.

  • Create and establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to project specific quality procedures and requirements during execution phase of ITPs at the supplier.

  • Work closely with various functions in GE Oil & Gas to develop inspection forecast at the vendor or for a project.

  • Verify product during pre-defined stages of the production schedule to ensure all GE specifications and requirements are adhered to.

  • Record product or process NCs observed during inspection activity and ensure closure before releasing the product with the help of SQE/PQE.

  • Monitor vendor schedule against committed delivery dates during visits and inspection activity and proactively report slippage and schedule impact

  • Maintain highest level of Health & Safety culture at the vendor base all the time as per GE Oil & Gas health and safety requirements and report any issues to projects and HSE team. Liaise with customer representative to conduct inspection and documentation review activity.

  • Drive Continuous Improvements of supplier’s quality, using data gathered from the GE Systems.

  • Graduate (Or Equivalent) in Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience of working in sourcing environment

  • Excellent Quality & Manufacturing Process Knowledge; ability to understand and interpret BOMs, technical drawings and technical procedures.

  • Availability to travel inside and out of Country to support vendor activity and carry out inspection activity

  • Basic Six Sigma understanding.

  • Structured data driven mind-set.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Computer literate.

  • Six sigma GB certified

  • Strong technical knowledge in subsea control products – specifically BOF product lines

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures; follows all compliance regulations.

  • Effectively demonstrate and promotes a culture of excellence in all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.

  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
