| This role reports to Senior Credit Officer, Capital UK and the role is responsible for:
•Management of the Corporate Credit Underwriting Team responsible for underwriting and presenting for approval the large structured Accounts Receivable (‘A/R’) and Asset Based Lending (‘ABL’) deals, typically > £20MM line size. •The team will have high levels of engagement with EMEA and 901 approval authorities and the Credit Leader will need to ensure the quality of pitches is of the highest standard to achieve right/first time approvals to accelerate the time to decision to the customer. •Ensure compliance with all approval protocols including pitch content, adherence to Siebel and deal review processes and ensuring effective dialogue with relevant stakeholders in the process. •Lead and train the underwriting teams in pitching the deals to EMEA & 901 credit authorities. 1.Collaborate cross functionally and with senior commercial stakeholders to support the business in driving sustainable and profitable growth. 2.Collaborate and build strong relationships with senior Credit stakeholders in EMEA & U.S Credit teams. 3.Provide robust and efficient Underwriting process to enhance Time to Decision and delivery against customer timescale expectations. 4.Compliance with Policy 5.0 – Investment Authority delegation, ensuring all credit decisions are rationally derived with clear recommendations, appropriately documented with risks and issues clearly documented and mitigated as appropriate. 5.Lead, coach and manage teams effectively to deliver against the strategic and functional specific Goals & Objectives. 6.Ensure staff alignment to the strategic imperatives of the business and acting as a role model for improving standards, identifying opportunities to simplify process and improve operational efficiencies. 7.Attract, develop and retain a highly effective and diverse team and ensure effective succession planning. 8.Ensure statutory and policy compliance, protecting the reputation and upholding the Sprit & Integrity of GE. | |
