| The role is for a duration of 12 months suitable for sandwich students of a relevant engineering degree at University.

| • Engage in long / short term projects with the M&P team and other supporting teams,
• Technical development in support of collaborative R&T programmes developing and evaluating new composite materials and processes, • Technical support on sub-work packages on composite tooling, materials and manufacturing processes including work package planning, execution and reporting, • Mechanical testing, • Act as an interface between internal and external customer bases, • Liaise with external collaborators including aircraft primes and materials and automation companies, • Support in-house R & T programmes and new product introduction. | |
| • Studying towards a Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science, or related field, degree,
• Problem solving skills, • Have some knowledge of composite materials including resin systems, fibres, fabrics, prepreg systems, adhesives and core materials, • Good interpersonal skills, • Able to communicate effectively and have an aptitude for learning new techniques, methods and principles, • Good knowledge of Microsoft office and IT, • Ability to work to timescales, achieve personal deadlines and contribute to team deadlines, • External focus, ability to consider the external impact of business activities and decisions on customers, markets / industry, investors, media, government and communities. |
