The Software Engineer position supports the Integrity Services division of PII Pipeline Solutions, based in Cramlington.
Develop software product, test scripts, and related documentation according to organizational and industrial standards.
Ensure the software product is developed according to the approved design, and followed software development standards and best practices.
Participate in the requirement harmonization process and deliver software product prototype and/or proof of concept.
Work with the systems architecture team to deliver detailed design of software product by ensuring that product user interface and architecture can be componentized and reused.
Adhere and input into the development of Software Architecture and Development Standards.
Support software installations, trouble-shooting, documentation, and implementations.
5 Years dedicated development in managed Microsoft languages (C# - 80% WinForms and 20% WebForms)
Dedicated development in unmanaged Microsoft language (MFC C++).
Familiar with architecture/design patterns and re-usability concepts.
Knowledge of database design and object/relational database technology.
Bachelor's degree or similar work experience in Computer Science.
Familiarity with all phases of the software development life cycle and practical experience with Agile methods
UX design and development practices are beneficial.
Willingness to travel 10 – 20% for project work including four week jumpstart with main software development team in Kansas.
Experience with commercial software development environment.
Experience with internal / productivity software development environment.
Experience with GIS technologies and industry standards.
Knowledge of transmission and gathering pipelines, linear referencing, and geometric networks.
